Weapon Upgrade Lite v1.2 - A Ghost Recon Mod - By GB 3-2003 the mod includes: -most sum of all fears demo weapons. -all Desert Siege weapons. -all Island Thunder weapons including the stationary AGS17 grenade launcher -the AKS74U and AKMS enemy weapons. -a marine model from island thunder. -all official gameplay modes and some new gameplay modes. -reworked graphics, sounds, missions and gun behaviour. I can't really tell in which extent this mod violates a copyright since all the mission pack weapons etc. can be found in the "sum of all fears demo" package, available on the net as shareware. well to make sure: just buy mission packs first, or at least just buy the game. the second good reason to release this mod is because red storm made a mess of the weapons, many things are just plain wrong! these errors should have been corrected in one of the patches, but that did not happen, so don't blame me for doing so now. usage: make sure you updated your ghost recon to version 1.4, the mod is not tested to work on older versions. unpack the mod to the 'mods' folder and activate it in ghost recons options screen. now you might have to restart the game first. also you have to rename the following file: origmiss\kits\quick_missions.qmk, so it will use the new kits properly. that is all about installing it. you can access the marine character and all weapons by obtaining the specialist Will Jacobs. also most weapons are available in quick mission mode. in multiplayer mode change the server settings to one of the new kit restriction modes to access the new weapons and skins. changes: -redrawn all kit icons. -added shotgun and submachine gun reticles, adjusted other reticles. -added the soaf character selection background, has better lightvalues -more consistent weapon names. -more consistent weapon behaviour. -more consistent weapon file structure. -silenced weapons use somewhat "subsonic" (=weaker) bullets: so shoot the heads. But these weapons are more stealthy now ass well. -improved some weapon sounds, more bass for oicw/rpk74, better looping of autofire. -new sounds for m60, also for heavy machine guns -re-textured ak47,akms,ak74,ak74-gl,aks74u,bizon,spas-12 weapons etc. -adjustments to all weapon textures and the marine texture. -corrected the lefthandpoints of all primary soaf weapons and others. -added holsterpoints to all sniper rifles. -fn-fal,mac10 burstshot removed. -added new m9 three-shot sound, new shotgun sound. -more enemy variations in recon+firefight+defend modes. -recon mode continues if a team member gets killed. -added/tweaked recon, firefight and defend data for all multiplayer maps. -added auto-gl's and machine guns to some existing maps. -the ability to use many original models in multiplayer. -the official defend single-play mode! -the official cat and mouse+behemoth+siege+domination multiplay modes. -new rocket recon multiplay mode. -fixed some mis-aligned command maps. -enlarged the nightvision mask. -bugfix in m240g model over version 1.1 -and more.. -to do: better pancor jackhammer sound.
